Care Instructions

To keep your cast iron sizzling pan in excellent condition and ensure long-lasting performance:

  • Season before first use: See instructions below.
  • Hand wash only: Clean with warm water and a soft sponge. Avoid using harsh detergents, steel wool, or abrasive cleaners.
  • Dry immediately after washing: Thoroughly dry the pan to prevent rust.
  • Lightly oil after cleaning: Apply a thin layer of cooking oil to the cooking surface before storing to maintain seasoning and protect against moisture.
  • Do not soak in water: Prolonged exposure to water may cause rusting.
  • Avoid dishwasher use: Cast iron and wooden bases are not dishwasher safe.
  • Wooden base care: Wipe clean with a damp cloth only. Do not immerse the wooden base in water.
  • Use caution when handling: Cast iron becomes extremely hot during cooking. Always use oven mitts or heat-resistant gloves.
  • Allow to cool before cleaning: Sudden temperature changes may damage the pan or affect its seasoning.

Note: Minor variations in surface texture and color are a natural characteristic of cast iron and do not affect performance. With proper care, your cast iron pan will develop a naturally seasoned surface that improves with use.

Important Note

⚠️ These cast iron pots are heavy. Please use both handles when lifting and exercise caution when moving the pot, especially when hot.

Before First Use: Seasoning Instructions

Proper seasoning helps protect the cast iron, prevents rust, and creates a natural non-stick cooking surface.

Step 1: Wash and Dry

  1. Wash the cast iron pot thoroughly with warm water.
  2. Dry the pot completely using a clean cloth or paper towel.
  3. Ensure no moisture remains on the surface.

Step 2: Apply Oil

  1. Apply a thin, even layer of cooking oil to the entire cast iron surface, inside and out.
  2. Wipe away any excess oil. The surface should appear lightly coated, not oily.

Step 3: Heat the Pot

  1. Place the pot in a preheated oven at high heat (approximately 200°C - 230°C).
  2. Heat for 45-60 minutes.
  3. Allow the pot to cool completely before handling.

Step 4: Repeat if Desired

For best results, repeat the seasoning process 2-3 times before first use.
