Care Instructions
To keep your cast iron sizzling pan in excellent condition and ensure long-lasting performance:
- Season before first use: Lightly coat the pan with cooking oil and heat gently to build a natural non-stick surface.
- Hand wash only: Clean with warm water and a soft sponge. Avoid using harsh detergents, steel wool, or abrasive cleaners.
- Dry immediately after washing: Thoroughly dry the pan to prevent rust.
- Lightly oil after cleaning: Apply a thin layer of cooking oil to the cooking surface before storing to maintain seasoning and protect against moisture.
- Do not soak in water: Prolonged exposure to water may cause rusting.
- Avoid dishwasher use: Cast iron and wooden bases are not dishwasher safe.
- Wooden base care: Wipe clean with a damp cloth only. Do not immerse the wooden base in water.
- Use caution when handling: Cast iron becomes extremely hot during cooking. Always use oven mitts or heat-resistant gloves.
- Allow to cool before cleaning: Sudden temperature changes may damage the pan or affect its seasoning.
Note: Minor variations in surface texture and color are a natural characteristic of cast iron and do not affect performance. With proper care, your cast iron pan will develop a naturally seasoned surface that improves with use.
